SF# Inaugural Meetup

Microsoft (map)

Selected By: Matt Harrington

For our inaugural meetup, I'll give a presentation on the F# Koans, by Chris Marinos. I believe this project had its genesis in the Ruby community. It's a way to learn a language through mastering small tasks which are parsed by a unit test runner. When the runner shows that you've successfully completed a task, you move on to the next one.

We'll also get to know each other, talk about our interest in F#, and brainstorm about future meetups.

Microsoft's San Francisco offices are steps away from the Powell Street BART station. After 6pm, tell the security guard that you're going to Microsoft in order to be let up to the 7th floor.

Update: We don't have a sponsor for tonight, so there will be no pizza. Your best option is the food court in the lowest level of the Westfield Center, which is the same building as Microsoft's office.

I wouldn't mind a first meeting on the informal side, just to get to know everybody, and discuss expectations!
